8th FunDive Webinar: Fungal community resilience – Fire fungi in Patagonia
September 29 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The FunDive consortium presents its recurrent webinar series on mycological topics.
This eight webinar will be given by Alexandre Raimbault who introduces us to the resilience of fungal communities following wildfires.
The webinar will last about one hour, including time for questions.
Please note that webinars are recorded and will be shared afterwards via the FunDive website. Please sign up [registration link] so we can keep track of the number of participants and adjust accordingly. You will receive an email with the join link. The webinar is hosted on Microsoft Teams.

Extended topic description
Alexandre Raimbault (Forest Science and Technology Centre of Catalonia).
Alexandre will present preliminary work on fungal community resilience after wildfires in Patagonia, Argentina, using co-occurrence networks and topological analyses to assess changes in mycorrhizal, saprotrophic, and whole fungal communities. He will also talk about how these changes relate to soil nutrient dynamics, based on preliminary results from the Fire-Adapt project. Further, he will shortly touch upon how such network-based approaches could be applied to FunDive datasets.
