7th FunDive Webinar: Progress on Sequencing Fungal Type Specimens (WP1)

The FunDive consortium presents its recurrent webinar series on mycological topics.
This seventh webinar will be given by Anton Savchenko who talks about the progress in FunDive’s WP1 on Type sequencing.
The webinar will last about one hour, including time for questions.

Extended topic description
Anton Savchenko (Naturalis Biodiversity Center, The Netherlands).
The talk will focus on progress made so far within FunDive WP1, which aims to improve fungal species identification and unambiguous communication through DNA barcoding and annotation of type specimens. Anton has been responsible for generating sequence data and developing the bioinformatic workflows for type specimens gathered through FunDive. He will present the different sequencing approaches used, discuss the challenges encountered, and share some preliminary results.
