1st FunDive Barcoding Campaign
March 17, 2025 - March 21, 2025
You can join FunDive barcoding week as a volunteer at the University of Warsaw. Within one week will try to nanopore sequence as many FunDive specimens as possible.
Preliminary schedule:17-19.03 (Mon-Wed) – I block/group – starting with an introduction, DNA isolation and PCR followed by Nanopore library preparations and sequencing
19-21.03 (Wed-Fri) – II block/group – repetition of the block I.
Learning outcomes:
isolate DNA from dried specimens using Chelex method isolate DNA from dried specimens using Dip Stick method (if Chelex not successful) run standard PCR for ITS construct barcoding libraries for nanopore (this step includes cleaning, adapters ligation and barcodes ligation), including Qbit-based DNA concentration measurements pool libraries and run Nanopore sequencing on MinIon deviceBioinformatic data analysis will be not included.
