DESCRIPTION:Uppsala University in collaboration with the Swedish Systematics Association are happy to announce the 4th BioSyst EU meeting: 17-19th of August 2026\, in Uppsala Sweden. \nThe three day meeting will focus on talks and workshops on the topic of systematics and strengthening the collaboration and networks of systematists in Europe. \nHistorical sites where Linneaus worked and lived will be visited and there is an option to stay also to Thursday the 20th for further excursions in this historical area of Sweden. \nThere will also be an early career meeting on Sunday the 16th for students and early career researchers to get to know each other.

DESCRIPTION:The FunDive consortium presents its recurrent webinar series on mycological topics.\nThis seventh webinar will be given by Anton Savchenko who talks about the progress in FunDive’s WP1 on Type sequencing. \nThe webinar will last about one hour\, including time for questions. \nPlease note that webinars are recorded and will be shared afterwards via the FunDive website. Anton has been responsible for generating sequence data and developing the bioinformatic workflows for type specimens gathered through FunDive. He will present the different sequencing approaches used\, discuss the challenges encountered\, and share some preliminary results.
