DESCRIPTION:Uppsala University in collaboration with the Swedish Systematics Association are happy to announce the 4th BioSyst EU meeting: 17-19th of August 2026\, in Uppsala Sweden. \nThe three day meeting will focus on talks and workshops on the topic of systematics and strengthening the collaboration and networks of systematists in Europe. \nHistorical sites where Linneaus worked and lived will be visited and there is an option to stay also to Thursday the 20th for further excursions in this historical area of Sweden. \nThere will also be an early career meeting on Sunday the 16th for students and early career researchers to get to know each other.

DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to invite you to participate in the IX Balkan botanical congress\, which will be held from 8 to 12 October 2026 in Podgorica\, Montenegro\, organized by the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts\, the University of Montenegro\, and the Natural History Museum of Montenegro (more information: https://canu.me/\, https://www.ucg.ac.me/\, https://pmcg.co.me/).\n\n\nPodgorica\, the capital of Montenegro\, is the country’s largest urban center\, recognizable for its rivers and sunlit landscapes\, where rich natural heritage harmoniously intertwines with a contemporary urban spirit\, creating an inspiring setting for scientific dialogue and international cooperation. Situated at the transition between Mediterranean and continental climate zones\, it is characterized by a remarkable diversity of landscapes and ecosystems. Owing to its outstanding natural values and rich biodiversity\, four protected areas stand out within its territory – Nature park “Komovi”\, Nature park “Zeta River”\, Natural Monument “Park Forest Gorica” and Natural Monument “Cave Magara” (see more: https://podgorica.me/\, https://www.auzp.me/zasticena-podrucja/).\n\n\nThe aim of organizing the IX Balkan botanical congress is to bring together scientists\, researchers\, and experts from the region and beyond\, in order to exchange the latest knowledge in the field of botany and related disciplines\, including mycology .
